Joining granny squares

As well as my tirades blanket I'm now making a granny square throw.
Somebody asked how to join them so here are a few pictures show in how I join them.

Using a wool needle and the finishing tail from one of the squares I put the needle under the first chain on one square and under the corresponding chain in the next square.

Then working back the opposite way I put my needle under the second chain in each square.

Working the now from the right square to the left do the same for the 3rd chains, pulling the squares together as you go.
That's it carry on in this manner for all of the connecting chains, this leaves the top of each stitch showing to make a nice defined border between the squares.

I downloaded the tiramisu blanket pattern from ravelry you can get the free pattern here.  I have started the body of the blanket in a different stitch :
Chain 93, and then do the blanket stitch described here. Continue until work measures 32 inches then proceed with the Tiramisu blanket pattern.
